Fundraising for the Trust
Be a part of the future successes of William Ellis School
The William Ellis Trust relies on the generous support of alumni, current and former parents, trusts and foundations and other local supporters to be able to deliver the majority of its work – and support the school in its endeavours to provide the best possible educational experience to current and future pupils. This also extends to other young people within the borough.
Why not become a part of the success story of the school and the Trust?
If you’re thinking of taking on a fundraising challenge in the near or distant future we would love for you to consider doing so on behalf of the William Ellis Trust. We are a resource for all who have a connection with the school, and would love for you to champion our work and gather support through a fundraising event or drive.
We have a wide range of exciting and impactful initiatives we are currently working on and planning to develop including;
Our More Than a Playground fundraising campaign delivered in conjunction with the school and the William Ellis School Parent’s Association (WESPA.)
Providing funding to ensure all William Ellis pupils have equal access to opportunities regardless of personal circumstance
A wide range of initiatives we will be rolling out in the years ahead within our three key areas of boyhood, community and developing an cntrepreneurial spirit
Investing further in the buildings within the school and resources that are available to our students - and to community groups that may wish to hire them
Supporting securing the future of the Mill through a 100th anniversary campaign to run to 2029 – as well as supporting the school fund WES trips for all students at the school ensuring finances are not a barrier to participation
How can we help
We will be delighted to support you in your fundraising endeavours. We can provide you with copy for any particular area of our or the schools work you would like to fundraise for, help broadcast your fundraiser to wider audiences and will champion, support and celebrate the work that you do.
We will also be pleased to talk through any larger fundraising ideas you may have and how we may be able to support logistically to help achieve these.
An initial list of fundraising ideas
Endurance events – runs of all lengths, sponsored walks, a group cycle ride from William Ellis to the Mill and any other challenge you are thinking of taking on.
Engagement events (sports) – an alumni sports tournament i.e. a six-a-side football tournament, a cricket game based at the pitch in Parliament Hill
Engagement events (other) – hosting a concert fundraiser featuring former alumni, current students or friends and peers at a venue in and around North-West London, holding a bake sale at the school, hosting an art event and encouraging donations to the Trust.
Matched funding - many companies offer matched funding up to specified amounts for their employees. If you are taking on a fundraising challenge please do explore if this is something offered by your employer. It may well double the support you provide.
Please do reach out to Will Durham, Director of the William Ellis Trust, if you would like to discuss potentially holding a fundraiser to benefit the students of today and tomorrow. He can be contacted at wdurham@williamellis.camden.sch.uk and will be delighted to hear from you.
