Donate shares
Donating shares or securities is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give — you pay no Capital Gains Tax and can also claim Income Tax relief on the full market value.
Tax-efficient giving
“I realised that my life, with reading and writing at its centre, would have been much less rewarding without the transformative influence of my English teachers from William Ellis. So I’m very happy to donate from a deep sense of gratitude and a belief that the current generation should also be encouraged to love books.”
— John Simmons, Alumnus and Donor
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you.
