• “I was born at William Ellis school as my grandad (Leonard Kuhne) was the school keeper from 1980s -2002 and we lived on site. William Ellis taught me some key life skills, gave me confidence and experience which has served me well in my career and family life.”

    Kyle (attended 1999-2006)

  • " I was a working class boy from an ordinary local family with no books in the home when I joined the school. The wonderful English teaching inspired me with the magic of words. My memories are of a school imbued with great intellectual ambitions with warm pastoral care. ”

    Michael Wenn Williams (attended 1959-1967)

  • “ I have very fond memories of the school as a great melting pot of all kinds of backgrounds and cultures. I am also still very close with friends from Ellis, despite my living overseas for most of my life. My schooling taught me how to navigate different values and identities. ”

    Ismail Wolff (attended 1988-1993)

  • "One of my fondest memories from WES was the first day of year 10, wearing the black blazer with all my mates. I'm a 43 year old civil engineer, and honestly I don't think anything has ever topped that feeling."

    Andrew Robertson (attended 1993-1998)

  • "'Rather use than fame" is something I never realised I resonated with so deeply. Looking back over my life and career, it’s clear it’s something I’ve subconsciously embodied. I have so many memories of time at the school but if I had to pick an absolute favourite it would be representing William Ellis in the Camden & Islington Cup final at the Emirates Stadium (2008.)"

    Junior Olomowewe (attended 2004 -2009)

At the William Ellis Trust, we are working closely with the school to develop an alumni network that is actively engaged with the life of the school today.

We are fortunate to have alumni from several generations who remain connected to William Ellis and who share invaluable knowledge, insight and experience with current students.

If you would like to be part of this exciting next step in the William Ellis story, please complete the short form linked here and we will be in touch. We would also be grateful if you could share this page and the network sign-up form with friends from your school days, helping us to reach as many alumni as possible.

If you have ideas for the alumni network, would like to help organise get-togethers or events, or have photographs from your school days that you would be happy to share for inclusion on the website, please Contact Us. We would love to hear from you.

We would also be grateful if you could share this page and the sign-up form for the network with any friends from your school days so we can reach as many alumni as possible.

Help us grow the impact of the alumni network

Expanding the network will help to open even more opportunities for current and future William Ellis pupils and students by:

Building connections between alumni of the school - reconnecting old friendships, sharing memories across generations and building a lasting relationship with the school of today

Opening up opportunities for current and future William Ellis students through work experience opportunities, careers guidance and the sharing of life experiences that aid their development

Raising the profile of the work the school is doing around the areas of boyhood, community and entrepreneurship and offering alumni the opportunity to support this work.
